Frequently Asked Questions about Wedding Video Services

Q: What will you record?

A: We have a recording plan before we go to most weddings, but weddings vary greatly, so you have the power to decide. We will sit down with you a few weeks before the wedding and discuss your Wedding day and what package you have opted for and what it covers.

We note anything which may be unique to your wedding day. In many cases we record the Bride's house and preparations. Bride, Groom & Guests arriving at the ceremony, photo shoot and the reception.

Q: Do we have to pay a deposit?

A: Yes, in order for us to hold the date for you we will require a $200 deposit, we will hold the date for one week to allow you to forward the deposit.

The deposit is non refundable within 6 months of the wedding date. It is also our policy to settle half the account one week prior to the wedding day and the remainder on collection of your DVD.

Q: Do you use radio microphones?

A: Yes, in order for us to provide you with great quality sound we use radio mic's for the ceremony and the speeches.

Q: Can I select my own music?

A: Yes, we recommend you provide your music selection on mp3 files or CDs (not from iTunes). 5-10 songs usually suffice, we may not use them all as and we often add in our own instrumental selections in certain parts such as titles.

If you would like complete control over your music selection we are happy to facilitate.

Q: How long before I receive the completed DVDs?

A: Usually within 4 weeks however during peaks times it can be longer, we do strive to get your DVD completed within a reasonable time frame.

Q: Can my video be put on the internet?

A: Certainly, if you would like your 3-4 minutes of highlights placed on Facebook or Youtube, we can upload them for you, all we request is you leave our links to Video Story intact. Please note some music may not be approved by online video sites due to copyright law, so we often select our own music for online content.

Q: What length will my DVD be?

A: Very hard to give a definitive answer to this one, the length often depends on the length of your ceremony, speeches and reception. Depending on the choosen package the finished DVD will usually be 1-2 hrs duration.

Q: What format is the DVD?

A: We provide DVD-r which is the most compatible format for DVD players in Australia and will work in a computer with a DVD drive.
